The Wii version of Rock Band did not support downloadable content; however, Rock Band 2 and Rock Band 3 do, with DLC first made available in January 2009.[3] Harmonix has said it will continue to release songs from the back catalog of downloadable content each week for Wii until all songs are available,[4] and starting in March 2009, is making new DLC available for Wii at the same time as Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.[5] All songs are available for download on Wii unless otherwise noted.
First Strike: Final Hour - OST download dlc
After more than 5 years of uninterrupted DLC releases, Harmonix ended its regular releases of DLC on April 2, 2013 as it transitioned to other games, with the final song being Don McLean's "American Pie".[6] Although no new DLC was scheduled for release after that date, Harmonix did not rule out the possibility of releasing DLC in the future should the right opportunity arise. On January 12, 2015, Harmonix announced the first of one-off releases of new DLC.[7] The sudden release, along with a survey posted by Harmonix a few days later, hinted at the possibility of a new Rock Band game for eighth generation consoles.[8] Harmonix later confirmed Rock Band 4 on March 5, 2015, and the game was released on October 6, 2015 on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
The commercial album was released in 2022 in three volumes: the first one was released on February 25, the second one was released on March 11 and the third one was released on March 25. Every volume contained two discs with roughly one hour of music each. The total length of the soundtrack is seven and a half hours.
Duke Nukem Forever became well-known in the video game industry for its lengthy development and polarizing reputation. Development of the game was first announced in 1997, and the game was heavily sensationalized in the years that followed. When it was finally released 14 years later, it was met with mixed reviews and divided opinions among fans.
Hail to the Icons Parody Pack is the first downloadable content pack for Duke Nukem Forever. It contains three new game modes (Freeze Tag, Hot Potato, and Free-For-All Hail to the King), four new multiplayer maps, and four new weapons.
Wired News has awarded Duke Nukem Forever its Vaporware Award several times. It placed second in June 2000 and topped the list in 2001 and 2002. Wired created the Vaporware Lifetime Achievement Award exclusively for DNF and awarded it in 2003. George Broussard accepted the award, simply stating, "We're undeniably late and we know it." In 2004, the game did not make the top 10; Wired editors said that they had given DNF the Lifetime Achievement Award to get it off of the list. However, upon readers' demands, Wired changed its mind, and DNF won first place in 2005, 2006, and 2007. In 2008, Wired staff officially considered removing DNF from their annual list, citing that "even the best jokes get old eventually", only to reconsider upon viewing the handheld camera footage of the game in The Jace Hall Show, awarding the game with first place once again. In 2009, Wired published Wired News' Vaporware Awards 2009: Duke Nukem Forever was excluded from consideration on the grounds that the project was finally dead. Duke made a comeback with an unprecedented 11th place award on Wired's 2010 Vaporware list.
My first day as a member of the 501st... it was hot, sandy, chaotic. Nothing at all like the simulations on Kamino. Of course that's pretty much the way it was for all of us, wasn't it? All that breeding, all those years of training, it doesn't really prepare you for the all the screaming, or the blood, does it? Frankly I'm amazed we ever made it past the first hour, never mind the first day.
The game plays out much like a Space Assault mode battle: the two teams battle each other to gain a set amount of points. The team to reach that number first wins.In the Xbox Live download players are able to play Hero Assault mode at Kashyyyk. It plays out with the Heroes controlling the sea wall and Villains attacking from the island.
"Tank" is the musical cue of the Tank, which plays after the Tank has noticed the Survivors and loops until its death. Normally, Tanks have 2 different themes, one that plays when the Tank has spawned during normal campaign known simply as "Tank", and one that plays during the finale (shown in the top left) known as "Taank", which is 27 seconds longer. In "Dark Carnival", finale Tanks are accompanied by a heavy rock version of the Tank's song to associate with the Midnight Riders theme of the finale. The first song is a play on the song "Midnight Ride" called "Midnight Tank". The second song is a play on the song "One Bad Man" called "One Bad Tank". "The Last Stand" campaign features a metalized version of the Tank Theme composed by Richard "Xenogen" Howle which plays with the double Tank wave that takes place after the Scavenge segment.
